Do you really think you can pull a transmission out?

Do you have an engine support to hold the motor up when taking out the transmission?

Do you have an impact wrench for removing the axle nuts?

Going to replace the clutch pressure plate and disc at the same time as you should?

Do you have a place that can resurface the flywheel?

Clutch release bearings are noisy at times when the clutch pedal is pressed and the noise usually goes away when the pedal is released. You don't have to replace the bearing just because of noise. If it's grinding and the pedal feels odd then you need to pull it apart. By then the pressure plate is also a concern.

Make sure it's not a transmission mainshaft bearing noise.I`ve Clutch bearing problem in kia rio 02 mechanic said, how much bearing cost + labor is it hard to do it self?
HI

Not an easy job or for a novis...

You have to remove the transmission to replace it..

remove drive line

remove bolts holding transmission to motor.

remove shifter

unhook clutch rod

put jack under transmission

remove transmission cross member

remove transmission (its not light)

remove throw out barring and possibly pilot barring in the center of fly wheel.

replace throw out barring/pilot barring.

reverse above instruction.

that's the short version

good luck

tim
bearing is cheap...look it up on any auto parts website...hard to change...yes/no...the engine otr tranny must come out to change...so 100 dollar part ends up 700 because as long as tranny is out,,,you have to replace clutch [if you r smart]
