I'm a mechanic and change clutches all the time. I would say don't attempt it unless you know a fair bit of mechanics and you will need a couple of special tools

dead easy take it to a mechanic they will fix it and you dont even get dirty lol
Since you have to remove either the transmission or the engine, it's obviously not a beginner's job unless you don't need the car for a month or so and have the tools and facilities to use.

If you've never done one before DON'T DO IT!! You need alignment tools and a lot of time! By the time you've finished it will be a case of..........
