I don't think you have to remove the exhaust, you just pull your axle's ,your clutch cable ,bell housing bolt and remove the mounts, then drop you tran's down..not that hard maybe two people...

How to change clutch on 1987 honda civic?
The clutch is making noise when I depress the clutch pedal fully. It allows the car to shift gears and does not make noise if I do not fully depress the clutch pedal. The car has 130k miles. the Haynes manual calls for the removal of the exhaust system to get at the tranny, which I do not want to do. Anyone done this how long does it take??How to change clutch on 1987 honda civic?
